Dani Levinas, one of Washington, D.C’s best-known contemporary art collectors and a Board Member of the Hirshhorn Museum, today announced the launch of Prince Street Editions, a new publisher of limited editions of works from contemporary artists all of whom have exhibited in museums and whose works also are featured in important collections.
“Limited editions are a mainstay of the art world,” said Mr. Levinas. “Prince Street Editions will allow both first-time and practiced collectors to build their collections with works that will stand the test of time,” he added.
The first offering from Prince Street Editions is focused on the game of Chess and will consist of sculptural work. Artists who are participating in this limited edition run include Artur Lescher, Ivan Navarro, Cristian Segura, Javier Arce, Jorge Mendez Blake, Jose Davila, Ricardo Rendon, Manuela Rivadeneira, Marlon de Azambuja and Jorge Pedro Nunez. At this time, pieces from Artur Lescher and Ricardo Rendon are available.
Prices for Prince Street Editions will range from $900.00 to $10,000.00 depending upon the artist and the size of the edition. The collections will offer Washingtonians (and a global audience) access to one of the best curated and most unique opportunities to collect valuable contemporary art today.

Dani Levinas has been collecting art since 1970. His collection, featured in such major publications as The Washington Post, Bamboo, Arte al Dia and Interior Designs among others. He serves on the Board of The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and he has been instrumental in organizing shows in the US, Europe and Latin America that showcased important contemporary art. In Washington DC, he organized exhibits at the Arlington Art Center and The Art Museum of the Americas.
Prince Street Editions is his first publishing effort focused on bringing limited edition works to the art-loving public.
