Javier Arce (Santander, 1973). Graduado en Técnicas de Estampación en la Escuela de Artes Aplicadas de Oviedo y Licenciado con Honores en Bellas Artes en la Universidad del País Vasco. Recibió su maestría en Escultura de la escuela de Bellas Artes de Wimbledon, Londres. En 2008 le fue concedida una beca por el International Studio y Programa Curatorial (ISCP) en Nueva York, EEUU, y por la Fundación de Arte y Derecho. En 2007 recibió la Mención de Honor de Generación 2007 en Madrid, habiendo recibido el año anterior un Premio de la Fundación Marcelino Botín de Artes Plásticas.
Entre sus últimas exposiciones individuales destacan Primera exposición prestada. El museo bastardo, en el CAB, Burgos; This could be a show of historical importance, en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Zagreb, así como sus intervenciones en el Espai 13 de la Fundación Miró, en Barcelona, y en el Espai Quatre, del Casal Solleric, en Mallorca.
Sus obras han formado parte de muestras como Reproducción, repetición, reivindicación, 4ª Biennal de Grabado Experimental, National Brukenthal Museum, Sibiu, Rumania, la 29ª Bienal de Artes Gráficas de Ljubljana, Eslovenia o el Soverign European Art Prize, Barbican Art Center, Londres, Reino Unido.
También ha expuesto en el Nuevo Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Zagreb, Croacia; en el MUSAC de León; CA2M de Móstoles, Madrid; ARTIUM de Vitoria, etc.

Javier Arce (Santander, 1973) has a degree in Engraving from the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas in Oviedo and his Honors Degree in Fine Art at the Basque Country University.
